Job profile

As a Supply Chain Engineer within Ridder Drive Systems, part of Ridder Group, your challenge is to make Ridder’s supply chain run as smoothly as possible and to help improve the organization. Your aim is to achieve the optimum efficiency, lead times and product cost prices. The Supply Chain Engineer (SCE) monitors and evaluates logistics and production processes. You do this using Ridder’s APICS-based logistics management model, prioritizing the principles of the Ridder Production System. Your challenge is to increase the reliability of master data and inventory, and to make continuous improvements to the supply chain. The SCE reports directly to the Director Operations.

Using the item management process, you will ensure that all logistics parameters are applied perfectly and help others to carry out their work efficiently. You will also be responsible for carrying out Ridder’s cyclical stock-taking process. That means that you will be counting Ridder’s stock continuously, together with a number of colleagues on the floor. You will keep a close eye on stock on a daily basis together with the Finance department. This makes for a highly varied role, and your work will span the strategic, tactical and operational levels.

  • Taking samples to test data accuracy
  • Manage and further develop master data in the ERP system
  • Streamline and optimize the lead time of the entire operational process
  • Encourage, motivate and supervise process improvements and process-oriented thinking
  • Process manager/owner of the black kanban process
  • Support the Supply Chain Coordinator with data analysis and planning activities

This role requires strong analytical skills and a structured, consistent and meticulous approach. A dependable colleague with an eye for detail and a strong focus on continuously improving the organization and self-improvement. Based on your findings and expertise, you will help colleagues to grow and develop, and together you will improve every day.

  • MBO+ or HBO professional and intellectual level, preferably qualified in the field of Industrial Engineering or Logistics
  • Knowledge of APICS 1 and 2 is an advantage
  • Strong mathematical and numerical skills, determined to improve constantly
  • An enterprising team player who is analytical, accurate, results-oriented and flexible
  • Able to communicate effectively with everyone within the internal organization
  • Good digital skills, preferably with knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Power BI
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English language

What we can offer you

  • Opportunities for development, so that you can continue to grow and develop
  • A dynamic and healthy family business
  • A no-nonsense, customer-oriented culture
