In the innovation team at Ridder, we work on developing new smart sensing devices, model-based tomato growing and computer vision. Our newest innovation Ridder CropView AI, recently nominated for the Greentech Concept Award, has the goal to be the first camera system that can automatically detect and collect important plant characteristics.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Collaborate with our colleagues in the innovation team, to develop new algorithms and models.
  • Work on the development of one of our three computer vision models:
  • Detecting and measuring the stem diameter of a tomato plant
    Detecting and measuring flowering truss of a tomato plant
    Detecting and measuring plant growth of a tomato plant
  • Conduct validation experiments and analyze data to optimize the performance and accuracy of our computer vision algorithms.
  • Participate in weekly brainstorming and co-development sessions to share your innovative ideas and insights with the team!

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering and/or robotics
  • Understanding of computer vision fundamentals and deep learning techniques
  • Proficiency in Python, familiarity with computer vision libraries is a pre (PyTorch)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
