The sustainability impact of the Ridder Nona+ water treatment unit is recognized with the prestigious GreenTech Innovation Award! The innovative selective sodium removal tool of Ridder Group is rewarded for lowering the industries water-footprint and increasing the efficiency of greenhouse companies worldwide.
Cost-efficient sodium removal
Out of some 50 submissions and 18 nominations in three categories, Ridder NoNa+ was chosen by a professional jury as the winner of the Greentech Innovation Award in the category Sustainability. Ridder NoNa+ is the industry’s first cost-efficient sodium-removal solution that removes harmful sodium levels from drain water and enables emission free cultivation thanks to an unique combination of selective membrane and electrodialysis technology. This innovative system minimizes the loss of expensive fertilizers and makes it possible to remove sodium without adding other minerals.
Jury praises Ridder NoNa+
The jury praised Ridder NoNa+ for maximizing the greenhouse water cycle. “More sustainability is essential for the sector’s future” the jury said. Other comments from the jury said; “‘Less investment, high input and zero sodium creates an affordable product for growers everywhere’. The Ridder NoNa+ is ‘in line with the sustainable water transition in the Netherlands and the rest of the world’. Furthermore the innovative technology of the Ridder NoNa+ was recognized. Ridder NoNa+ is a ‘new innovation: the combination of membrane technology and electrolysis treatment’.
