Ridder addresses innovation, sustainability and labor-shortages at GreenTech Live & Online

Over 6,300 horticulture professionals signed up for the virtual conference GreenTech Live & Online on 20, 21 and 22 October. Attendees from 107 countries watched 53 knowledge sessions with 121 speakers.

Experts and representatives of Ridder Group actively participated in the first fully online edition of the GreenTech. Ridder also joined in three knowledge sessions and interviews.

Ridder marketeer Boy de Nijs and Head of Digital & Innovation Sander Baraké discussed how ecosystem innovation brings the horticulture sector closer together and creates value-added services for the entire industry. “An open mindset and the blend of unique viewpoints gives birth to new ideas and meaningful innovations.”

Ridder Group’s product manager Temro Douw explained how smarter applications and the next generation of #labor-management systems can assist companies to improve their processes and reduce the time on administration. This allows greenhouse companies to use the decreasing workforce more optimal and focus on what is important; taking care of the plants.

Ridder Group product manager Water Treatment Jerre de Blok discussed the importance of disinfection and re-use of drainwater in horticulture.
