Greenhouse operations in North America are dealing with a fast-paced business climate. In order to support them with today’s challenges and opportunities, Ridder Group was present at last week’s Canadian Greenhouse Conference in Niagara Falls to showcase the latest in automation, water, screening, climate, drive and management solutions.
The Canadian horticulture sector is subject to some important developments: produce businesses are expanding, there is an increasing demand for organics and then there is the whole new and fast- and upcoming industry called medical marijuana. Together with the challenges companies face in the field of labour management, climate control and resource-efficient production, there was enough to talk about at the conference. It was a pleasure to welcome you at our booth and link your challenges with our solutions.
For Ridder it was the first time we presented ourselves at the Canadian Greenhouse Conference as one Ridder. With one brand for both our Growing Solutions, Drive Systems and Climate Screens, the mutual commitment and commercial cooperation between our different business units is reinforced. Especially the fast-growing Canadian horticulture sector can reap the benefits that we offer as the one-stop-shop for controlled environment agriculture technology.
The conference was an excellent opportunity to meet Ridder’s new Canadian Sales Manager Jamey Barnewall, who joins our Leamington office after a successful career as an account manager in in the Windsor industrial supply industry. Jamey is a familiar face in the local greenhouse industry and is looking forward to start helping you grow your way!
