Ridder Synopta 7 available: dark mode and enhanced security

Synopta 7 is now available, bringing dark mode and a set of security improvements to the operating system behind Hortimax Pro. It delivers a clearer user experience, a more consistent look and feel, and strengthened security. The first version in this new release line, Synopta 7.1.2, is now available.

Synopta is the operating system behind Hortimax Pro, bringing key system functions, statuses, and notifications together in one clear overview so users can work efficiently and respond quickly when needed.

Addition of dark mode in Synopta

One of the most visible changes in Synopta 7 is the introduction of dark mode. Users can now choose between light mode and dark mode, depending on their working environment and personal preference. Dark mode reduces screen brightness and can improve visual comfort during prolonged use or when working in low light conditions. At the same time, the interface has been refreshed and better aligned with the Ridder brand style, featuring clearer icons and an improved status display for messages and notifications.

Enhanced security features and technical improvements

Important steps have also been taken around security. New passwords must now meet stricter requirements, and Synopta provides immediate feedback when a password does not meet these criteria. In addition, automatic logout is enabled by default after installation, with a fixed timeout, helping to prevent unauthorized access.

Alongside these changes, Synopta 7.1.2 includes several technical improvements, such as support for a newer Python version within Syncontroller and an optimized installation process that clearly indicates when a system restart is required.
